With his own hands he cut leather, stitched seams, attached soles and in the 60's he pioneered the first truly waterproof boots. In 1973, the Timberland name was born as the brand name for our original waterproof leather boot but quickly expanded to add casual and boat shoes to its line and soon became an international lifestyle brand offering clothing and women's and children's ranges too. Today Timberland is a global brand which is proud to be a twenty-first century example for socially responsible corporations around the world.
