Owner David Tredinnick, an avid hobbyist, got the idea to open a hobby store from Faith Popcorn, the international trend guru whose cocooning theory claims that in the `need to protect oneself from the harsh, unpredictable realities of the outside world`, people are choosing to keep themselves busy at home rather than venture out. Pastimes cater for the all-rounded male with a product mix that has been categorised to suit certain lifestyles and personalities. The `collector` will find a wide variety of aeroplanes and cars while the `model-maker` will find all sorts of miniature replicas of planes, ships and cars to build up. The `adventurer` will find radio-controlled planes, boats and train sets as well as metal detectors, skate boards and fly fishing equipment.
