Cape Union Mart is also renowned for its considerable selection of footwear, including hiking boots, trail shoes, aqua shoes, casual footwear and slops and slippers. Special features include a rain chamber, custom designed for the testing of waterproof jackets and boots, and a cold weather chamber with a rating of -19 degrees Celsius, also for the testing of foul weather clothing and fleece. Our store centre piece is a climbing wall managed by several fully trained staff members. It includes belaying ropes and harnesses, and is open to any customers who wish to try their hands (or feet) at a spot of rock climbing.
